Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Service to the Armed Forces Specialist, Mobile, based at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA. This role manages SAF/IS programs, oversees volunteer teams, and supports deployment readiness while coordinating community outreach and education for military members and families.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and willingness to travel and meet security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Strong computer skills; excellent public speaking and written communication.
• Familiarity with military culture and protocol is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with military leadership and installation partners.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage volunteers supporting SAF/IS and related programs.
• Oversee delivery of Red Cross services to service members and families.
• Coordinate educational briefings, workshops, and community events.
• Deploy as part of SAF Mobile Team and support operations worldwide.
