SAF/IS Regional Program Specialist - Temp

Job Summary

Assist in delivering programs and services to meet the needs of U.S. military members, veterans, and their families. Manage volunteers, support Red Cross departments, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. This position starts in mid-June 2025 and ends around January 31, 2026. Candidates must reside within 45 minutes of Ft. Bragg.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build relationships with community and military organizations to promote Red Cross missions.
2. Develop and implement volunteer programs on military installations.
3. Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers across various Red Cross programs.
4. Ensure delivery of core services, conduct training and outreach, and support community engagement.
5. Monitor and report on service outcomes, analyze data, and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 3 years of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong computer skills, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Red Cross programs and military culture is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit, handle, talk, reach, and occasionally stand or lift up to 30 pounds. Work environment involves moderate noise and extended computer use.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing volunteers, team building, public speaking, outgoing personality, familiarity with military and tech platforms, professional demeanor.
