SAF/IS Regional Program Specialist - Reserve

Job Overview

The American Red Cross is seeking SAF/IS Reserve employees to join our elite workforce of mobile employees supporting military personnel and DOD civilians overseas. Deployment locations include Kuwait, Djibouti, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, and Lithuania. These positions are remote-based with approximately 6 months of overseas deployment, occurring twice a year, with the next in 2026. Candidates can reside anywhere in the U.S. or U.S. Territories.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering programs to meet the needs of U.S. military members, veterans, and their families.
• Deploy on 6-month rotations to designated theaters of operation worldwide.
• Maintain medical and readiness requirements, including training and certifications.
• Provide emergency communications, develop morale and welfare programs, manage volunteer staff, and ensure deployment readiness.

Minimum Requirements

• U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain a secret security clearance, and a no-fee U.S. passport.
• Willingness to accept work assignments globally, including conflict zones.
• Meet strict medical and immunization requirements.
• Willingness to wear military uniforms and work in harsh environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $47,900 - $50,000. Deployment and readiness incentives are available. Benefits include health plans, PTO, holidays, 401(k), paid family leave, and more.
