Aufgaben

• Assist students with math-based assignments, homework, projects, and related academic tasks as directed by supervising teachers.
• Implement intervention plans developed in collaboration with classroom teachers, math specialists, and support staff.
• Maintain organized records of student participation, progress, and observed needs, and share information with supervising staff.
• Monitor student engagement, behavior, and work habits during intervention sessions and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support students in developing independent learning strategies and study skills related to math.
• Participate in relevant professional development related to math instruction, intervention strategies, and student support when available.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervising administrator.

Job Summary

Provide instructional and behavioral support to students under the supervision of a certified teacher. This role involves assisting with classroom management, implementing educational plans, and supporting students with individualized needs in various educational settings.

Qualifications

• Ed Tech Level 3 (Preferred)

• Maine Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) required.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling to assist students.
• May require lifting or moving materials, books, or equipment (typically under 25 lbs).
• Occasional need to physically assist students with mobility challenges or support students in crisis situations.
• Must have the stamina to engage with students for extended periods during the school day.

Environmental Conditions

• Most work is performed inside the classroom or other areas in the school building.
• May be required to work outdoors for recess, bus duty, or physical education support, subject to varying weather conditions.
