Job summary

Balanced Body in Sacramento, CA is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, supplier relations, and the purchasing team. This on-site role focuses on cost reduction, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement across purchasing, receiving, stockroom, and shipping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• APICS, CSCP, CPSM certifications preferred.
• 10+ years of supply chain experience; 5+ years managerial experience in manufacturing.
• On-site in Sacramento, CA, five days a week; no hybrid or remote arrangement.
• Develop, implement and support processes that continually reduce the number of transactions required to maintain and move materials and information flows.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of international markets and related logistics preferred.
• MS Dynamics Business Central experience a plus; MS Office and ERP/MRP skills.

Responsibilities

• Spearheading the execution of supply chain strategies to reduce material costs, improve on-time delivery, and reduce inventory.
• Implementing lean concepts (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Leadership, 5S).
• Developing alternate material replenishment methods (consignment, kanban, vendor managed) to increase turns while maintaining 100% on-time delivery.
• Overseeing site procurement, receiving, stockroom and shipping to ensure data integrity.
• Leading a team of buyer-planners and material handlers.
• Coordinating meetings and publishing minutes to inform management of delays.
• Supporting new product introduction procurement requirements.
