Job summary

The YMCA of Central New York is seeking a SACC Site Coordinator to support licensed before and after school programs at Cherry Road Elementary (Westhill CSD). You will plan and lead a thematic enrichment program while ensuring participant well-being per YMCA guidelines.

Under the Assistant SACC Director, you will supervise staff, manage daily activities, maintain records, and follow NYS OCFS requirements. This role requires strong organization, leadership, and commitment to youth development.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and communications skills are essential.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities to lead a team.
• Option 1: Associate's degree in child development, elementary education, phys. education, recreation or related field and 2 years direct experience with children under 13 including 1 year supervisory.
• Option 2: SACC credential with 2 years direct experience with children under 13 including 1 year supervisory.
• Option 3: 2 years of college with 18 credits in related field and 2 years direct experience with children under 13 including 1 year supervisory.

Responsibilities

• Models the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
• Plans, coordinates, organizes and leads all daily program activities.
• Provides leadership to staff and ensures adequate coverage for activities.
• Observes and follows NYS OCFS guidelines.
• Maintains records related to the program.
• Attends mandatory meetings and trainings.
