Job summary

GLS in Greenville, SC is seeking a System Support Specialist for campus recruiting offers starting May 2027. You will troubleshoot proprietary GLS system components, coordinate with SaaS vendors, and document solutions to reduce escalations.

You’ll develop training materials, monitor issues, and build strong working relationships with business and IT staff. A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficient with SQL and/or Python; able to learn new applications quickly.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to present ideas clearly in business language.
• Self-starter with initiative, able to identify needs and implement improvements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work across teams and with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with GLS system components promptly.
• Coordinate testing related to production issue resolution and develop training on issues.
• Document vendor-provided solutions and reduce escalation needs over time.
• Identify incidents requiring urgent attention and assess impact on workflows.
• Develop clear functional/technical descriptions of issues for stakeholders.
• Engage with management and SMEs to gather data on production issues.
• Create knowledge base articles and train Tier 1 staff on servicing scope.
