Job summary

Skillsoft is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue and Royalty Accountant to support revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, including royalty and reseller partner activities.

You will help interpret contracts, prepare revenue schedules for SaaS subscriptions and services, and partner cross-functionally to drive efficiency and control. You will assist month-end close, monitor royalty reporting, support audits, and contribute to SOX controls while maintaining accurate data in revenue systems

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of accounting experience, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.
• Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP).
• Ability to review and interpret contracts, pricing terms, and financial data.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to learn new accounting systems and processes quickly.

Responsibilities

• Support revenue recognition activities in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.
• Review contracts, sales orders, amendments, and agreements to identify revenue considerations.
• Prepare and maintain revenue schedules for SaaS subscriptions and other revenue streams.
• Support monthly revenue roll-forwards and investigate variances.
• Manage and process royalty and reseller partner reports and payments.
• Monitor reporting requirements and follow up on missing information.
• Assist with audits and SOX controls; provide documentation as needed.
