Job summary

Practice by Numbers, Inc. in the Seattle area seeks a Director of Finance to build and lead the finance function for the next growth phase. This hands-on leadership role will own the monthly close, policies, controls, forecasting, and investor communications as the company scales its vertical SaaS platform.

You’ll oversee Stripe-based billing, cross-border accounting, and budgeting across US and India entities, with a focus on cash discipline and KPI-driven decision support.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leading a finance function or team (required).
• Experience building finance function at a vertical SaaS company and reliable reporting.
• Experience speaking with potential investors and involvement in fundraises or transactions.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the finance function, close, policies, controls, and monthly cadence.
• Own monthly close, revenue recognition, AP/AR, and working capital management.
• Lead OP1 planning, budgeting across entities, and KPI reporting.
• Manage investor relations, fundraising workstreams, and financial storytelling.
