Job summary

Onit is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support the accounting operations department and scale the function for growth. The role focuses on timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and leadership of a SaaS finance team.

Responsibilities include leading month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, payroll, and overseeing GL, AP, fixed assets. Ideal candidate has 7+ years in accounting, US GAAP expertise, and experience with SaaS models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• “US GAAP” knowledge and experience with GAAP-based financial reporting.
• Experience in SaaS or technology companies with ARR-based models is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, and expense reporting.
