Job summary

Employer.com is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Development Associate to drive mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and new business opportunities in technology. You will identify targets in software, SaaS and AI, perform due diligence, model valuations, and lead negotiations with founders and executives.

This role is hands-on, fast-moving, and requires direct interaction with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in investment banking or corporate development with direct M&A exposure.
• Experience evaluating SaaS businesses and understanding recurring revenue models.
• Startup experience in fast-paced environments.
• Strong knowledge of AI technologies and ability to use AI to optimize workflows.
• Experience with financial modeling, due diligence, and transaction analysis.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, with focus on SaaS, AI-driven businesses, and emerging tech.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of acquisition opportunities through proactive sourcing and market research.
• Lead financial analysis, business valuation, due diligence, and deal structuring.
• Assess targets based on financial performance, technology, product-market fit, and growth potential.
• Develop relationships with founders, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute Employer.com’s strategy.
• Lead negotiations and coordinate transaction processes through closing.
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage AI and automation within portfolio companies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support post-acquisition integration and value creation.
• Monitor market trends to identify emerging investment opportunities.
