Job summary

CAE Simuflite in Orlando is seeking a SAAB 2000 Instructor Pilot to develop confident, highly skilled pilots through simulator and ground school instruction, while upholding safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service. You will deliver flight simulator and ground school training, guide clients through all training phases as an SME, and conduct thorough pre- and postflight briefings.

The role may include international travel and extended stays; strong English skills, ATP type

Qualifications

• 3,000+ hours of total flight time.
• ATP certificate with unrestricted PIC type rating.
• Excellent English (spoken and written).
• FAA regulations knowledge.
• Previous teaching or training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory standards, CAE curriculum, and customer requirements.
• Serve as a SME guiding clients through all phases of their training.
• Provide simulator, flight, and classroom instruction for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
• Conduct thorough, professional pre- and postflight simulator briefings.
• Complete required administrative tasks, including training records, remedial training recommendations, and monitoring instructor qualifications.
• Support curriculum and courseware development as an SME when required.
• After approximately 1.5+ years, and based on business needs, qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
• Participate in training programs that may include international travel and extended stays.
• Uphold a professional, welcoming learning environment and tailor training to diverse customers.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with CAE and FAA requirements.
