Job summary

South Eastern Regional College in Downpatrick is seeking a Technician in Electrical Installation to provide technical support to lecturers and courses. The role is full-time, permanent, 36 hours per week, located at the Downpatrick Campus.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Electrical Installation apprenticeship with documented certification and at least two years' industry experience, plus strong organisational and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Have completed a Level 3 or above apprenticeship in Electrical Installation with certified documentation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of health and safety within a construction environment.
• Be able to use Microsoft Office suite proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and assistance to lecturers and courses in the electrical installation curriculum.
• Assist with in-class practicals, resources, and equipment maintenance as required.

We currently have a vacancy for aTechnician in Electrical Installation

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Head of School the post-holder will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to lecturers/courses in the relevant curriculum area.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Have completed a Level 3 or above apprenticeship in Electrical Installation with certified documentation
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the Electrical Installation industry
• Demonstrate knowledge of health and safety within a construction environment
• Demonstrate effective organisational skills
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral
• Demonstrate competence in the use of Microsoft Office package.
