Job summary

Jr. Davis Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead highway and roadway projects in Central Florida.

The candidate will coordinate field staff, manage project costs, and drive scheduling and procurement to meet budget and timeline goals. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of highway/construction management experience and a bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in civil engineering or construction management.
• Must have heavy/highway experience with project management.
• 5–8 years of project experience in heavy/highway construction.
• Familiar with grading, drainage, paving, bridge construction, retaining walls and highway scopes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, quality, and budget for projects of varying size.
• Direct reports include Project Engineer, Office Manager, QC and Safety.
• Prepare status reports and ensure adherence to specs.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers; manage subcontractors.

S&LMaterialsisseekingaSeniorProjectManagerwhocantakechargeofmultipleroadwayprojects.Thecandidateneedstobeproficientincoordinatingandschedulingfieldstaff,jobcost,purchasing,CPMscheduling,andnegotiatingwithOwner.Responsibleforoverseeingtheplanningandimplementationofanentireprojectthroughbudgeting,hiringteammembers,sourcingsuppliers,andplanningtheprojectrelease.Theidealcandidatewouldhave5+yearsofexperienceworkingforaHighwayContractorinCentralFloridaandknowledgeableofconstructionpracticesrelatedtohighwayconstruction.Bachelor’sdegreeinconstructionmanagementorcivilengineering,butallexperiencedcandidateswillbeconsidered.

TheSeniorProjectManagerisresponsiblefortheoveralldirection,completion,andfinancialoutcomeofaconstructionproject.

Responsibilities(includingbutnotlimitedto):

• Overallresponsibilityforsafety,quality,andbudgetforprojectsranginginsize.
• DirectreportsincludeProjectEngineer,OfficeManager,QC,andSafety.
• Preparesprojectstatusreportsandworkstoensureworkadherestocontractspecifications.
• CommunicatedistrictandcorporateinformationtotheprojectteamaswellaskeepingOM/GMupdated.
• Directsandsupervisesworkofprojectadministration,projectsuperintendents,andengineerstoestablishoperationprioritiesandmaintainsatisfactoryrelationships.
• Establish/Define/Promotevalues,expectations,andperformancestandardsforteamandindividualmembersinaccordancewithJDC’smission,vision,andvalues.
• Createandexecuteprojectworkplansthatidentifyresourceandbudgetaryneeds.
• Responsiblefortheoverallmanagementoftheprojecttoensurecompletesolutionisdeliveredontimeandwithinbudget.
• Coordinatewithvendorsandsuppliersasneeded.
• AssisttheOperationsManagerandProjectneeds.
• Managecostsandprogramdocumentation.
• Effectivelyoverseesubcontractmanagement.
• Coachanddevelopstaff,providingfeedback,advice,projectupdates,andencouragement.
• Hostprojectmeetingsatleastonceaweekwithteamandmanagers.
• ImplementandmonitorSafetyandHazardcommunicationprograms.
• MonitorQualityControlandworkincollaborationwithSiteSuperintendent.
• CarryoutjobdutieswhilemaintainingJDCvalues.

JobRequirements
