Job summary

Lane Construction is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to lead a large highway project in Ocala, FL. You will own overall safety, quality, and budget, coordinate cost, staffing, and schedule, and direct a team of field and office professionals to deliver the project on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates have at least 10 years of heavy/highway experience, a civil engineering or construction management background, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large highway/construction projects.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with self-perform work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for safety, quality, and budget for projects.
• In charge of project cost, staffing, and scheduling.
• Direct reports include: Field Superintendent, Project Engineer, Office Manager, QC, and Safety.
• Prepare project status reports and ensure work adheres to contract specifications.
• Lead and direct the work of others.
• Communicate district and corporate information to the project team and leadership.
• Direct and supervise project administration and engineers to set priorities.
• Create and execute project work plans.
• Manage resources, schedule, and budget to deliver complete solutions.
