Job summary

Heli Preflight in Lafayette, LA is seeking an S-92 Helicopter Technician to perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on rotary-wing aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations. This contractor role supports high-tempo aviation maintenance where safety, accuracy, and efficiency are essential.

The candidate should have 2+ years of S-92/H-60/Bell/Airbus maintenance experience or 4–5 years of related work, with a high school diploma or GED and preferably FAA-approved A&P

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent S-92/H-60/Bell/Airbus or equivalent maintenance experience.
• 4-5 years of applicable maintenance experience is preferred for experienced candidates.
• High school diploma or GED required; FAA-approved A&P schooling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform airframe and engine inspections, repairs and maintenance per FAA regulations.
• Repair aircraft and related equipment per manufacturer specs and company directives.
• Perform maintenance on lease return projects.
• Complete maintenance documentation and task cards per requirements.
• Carry out routine inspections and evaluate aircraft condition.
• Diagnose, test, and repair aircraft systems and components.
• Remove, install, and replace aircraft parts as needed.
• Perform structural, mechanical, and system repairs.
• Conduct functional and operational checks to verify serviceability.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and maintenance standards.
• Assist with additional maintenance-related responsibilities as required.
