Job summary

Tempus AI seeks a senior biostatistician to lead design, analysis, and interpretation of complex clinical and real-world studies, with a focus on oncology, cardiology, and genomics. You will partner with Engineering, Clinical/Medical, and Data Science teams to translate research into actionable insights for clients.

You will mentor junior and senior statisticians, develop SAPs, conduct analyses for regulatory submissions, and stay current with evolving methods and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Masters with 4+ years (Ph.D.) / 6+ years (MS/MA) industry experience.
• Expertise in advanced statistical analysis methods, experimental design, and survival analysis.
• Proven ability to improve or extend standard design and analysis methods.
• Experience developing and reviewing SAPs and running analyses with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency in R and other statistics software; code review and validation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert leadership in design, analysis, and interpretation of complex clinical and real-world data studies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Clinical/Medical, Data Science, and other stakeholders.
• Lead development on statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and power calculations.
• Oversee and independently execute analyses for high complexity studies.
• Provide statistical support for regulatory submissions.
• Mentor biostatisticians, offering project leadership and code review.
• Collaborate to translate research into actionable client insights.
• Stay current with statistical methodologies and regulatory requirements.
• Comply with regulations and company procedures.
