The Role
OMNY is seeking a hands-on Real World Data (RWD) Product Manager to play a pivotal role driving the development and growth of our data solutions product line. You’re a seasoned thought-leader with healthcare experience, who will work cross-functionally across our strategy, sales, customer success and engineering teams. You are primarily responsible for the development and effective communication of product requirements, data quality, and functional designs, focused on creating new products and services for customers; as well as ensuring timely, key enhancements are made to existing product portfolios.A successful candidate will have a proven record of defining, prioritizing, and executing product delivery that is aligned with the overall product strategy and roadmap.You will also work independently and across the company to conduct direct market research, product definition, go-to-market strategies, product partnerships, and sales support in alignment with product and business objectives. Reporting to Director, Data Products, you’ll help us revolutionize the healthcare industry as we build a world class product organization.
Ideal candidates are market-driven and customer-focused product leaders, highly skilled at understanding how data solutions and platforms both scale and power revenue-generating product innovation. You’ll have a strong track record of successfully launching data services and data-driven products, preferably powered by AI and machine learning capabilities. This is an innovative and data-driven role in a fast-paced startup environment.
In This Role You Will
- Work with business units to gather requirements on differentiating real world data product offerings.
- Translate requirements and business objectives into prioritized, action-oriented deliverables, with measurable success criteria.
- Continuously pursue an in-depth understanding of industry problems and problem size relative to OMNY’s unique product value and differentiators, to validate strategic direction and prioritization.
Roadmap Execution
- Prepare accurate, detailed requirements and functional designs to support the product development life cycle.
- Develop clear frameworks that enable business stakeholders to understand status and decision points.
- Contribute to the definition of the product roadmap through annual and quarterly planning, in alignment with company defined strategic goals and KPIs, in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Partner with engineering to plan, scope, and execute the product roadmap, clearly articulating product strategy and requirements and ensuring the cross-functional team is managing key Product KPIs that drive product success.
- Drive data-driven prioritization of new opportunities and the product backlog, ensuring two-way communication and advocacy between the engineering and product organizations, including appropriate de-prioritization and communication on items that no longer serve the company goals when appropriate.
Product Launch and Growth
- Clearly articulate the customer value and OMNY business value created by the product.
- Align product scope with distribution strategy, serving those channels and partners which best align with market buying preferences and company goals/KPIs.
- Continuously capture customer and market learnings to bring back into the roadmap via a rapid iterative development cycle.
Requirements
What the Role Requires
- Knowledge of the healthcare data ecosystem with 3-5 years of experience relative to life sciences and the value drivers in recurring revenue business models, including proven strong understanding of the data and insights needs of multiple life sciences archetypes.
- In depth experience with and knowledge of various types of healthcare data assets (EHR, claims, SDoH, lab data, registries, etc.) and related analytic applications (e.g., commercial analytics, real-world evidence/HEOR); also, awareness of new & traditional data & services vendors
- 3-5 years of prior experience and proven results leading B2B product management for data platforms or highly data-driven products in healthcare technology that drive revenue.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from 4-year college or university, or sufficient relevant experience.
- Results-oriented mindset focused on setting clear, aggressive, yet achievable goals and delivering on those goals via a culture of accountability.
- Hands on success with documenting business cases with appropriate detailed needs, objectives and defined deliverables for building solution offerings that exceed customer needs.
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence or equivalent as the tool for building out product documentation and managing process workflow preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to independently determine how best to solve market challenges, and to make the best business and product decisions. Proven ability to go beyond initial information, challenge assumptions, while working to uncover the true use case, issue, or customer problem to be solved.
- Strong communicator with both written and verbal skills for evangelizing product strategy and communicating product roadmaps both internally and externally.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships, creating a culture of respect, trust, and teamwork; A desire to learn from others and encourage contributions from both direct and indirect teams.
