Job summary

Park Animal Hospital in San Francisco, CA seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician for a full-time role with 5-day, 8-hour shifts and no weekends. You will support veterinarians across outpatient care, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgery while partnering with clients and the hospital team for compassionate care.

The position requires at least 1 year of clinical RVT experience and an active California RVT license; dental experience and anesthesia monitoring are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical veterinary technician experience with direct patient care
• Active California RVT license required
• Dental experience strongly preferred, including proficiency with dental cleanings
• Experience monitoring surgical patients and anesthesia
• Strong client service and compassionate communication skills
• Ability to explain doctor recommendations and educate clients
• Self-motivated, dependable, and organized in a busy hospital
• Collaborative team player with a positive, flexible approach
• Availability to work the listed full-time schedule

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and educate clients
• Assist with workflows to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow
• Assist with surgeries and procedures per credentialed technician guidelines
• Communicate with clients about health concerns and Thrive Membership options
• Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems
• Obtain health histories and maintain medical charts
• Use safe restraining techniques and keep areas clean and organized
• Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members
• Other responsibilities as assigned
