Job summary

Tom Schaeffer's Camping and Travel Center Inc. is seeking an RV Service Technician to diagnose and repair a range of RV systems. Training is provided for any needed RV-specific tasks, with a focus on reliability and quality workmanship in a busy dealership shop.

Responsibilities include planning procedures, communicating with advisors, documenting repairs, mentoring trainees, and complying with safety and regulatory requirements. Compensation varies with experience in a Fortune-500–grade shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Operator Driver License and State Inspection License required

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose RV problems.
• Discuss repairs with shop foreman or RV service advisor.
• Communicate additional service requests to RV service advisor.
• Plan work procedures in cooperation with shop foreman.
• Provide labor time estimates to RV service advisor.
• Monitor repair time and update RV service advisor regularly.
• Maintain dealership policies on RV care and operation.
• Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs.
• Assist in mentoring RV technician trainees.
• Attend company and factory training.
• Keep current with factory technical bulletins.
• Follow regulations (e.g., disposal of hazardous waste).
