Job summary

PPL Motor Homes is seeking an RV Service & Parts Advisor to support the Service Department and Parts operations. You will assist customers with service requests, repair updates, RV parts and accessories, and service coordination.

You’ll work with customers, technicians, vendors, and managers to ensure parts are sourced, service is organized, and customers receive clear communication from start to finish. Training is available for RV knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in customer service, service advising, parts sales, inventory, automotive, RV, or a related field preferred.
• RV, automotive, or technical parts knowledge helpful, but training is available.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers professionally.
• Identify service and parts needs, accessories, and next steps.
• Create and update repair orders, parts orders, and customer records.
• Communicate repair status, service recommendations, parts availability, pricing, and timelines.
• Coordinate with technicians to identify needed parts and support timely service work.
• Source parts according to SOPs.
• Research, order, receive, and document parts accurately.
• Assist with service scheduling and calendar management.
• Process parts orders, returns, exchanges, warranties, and related paperwork.
• Maintain inventory records and assist with receiving and stocking parts.
• Work with vendors to research availability and resolve issues.
• Promote maintenance services and parts based on customer needs.

Help RV Customers Get Back on the Road

PPL Motor Homes is looking for an RV Service & Parts Advisor to support both our Service Department and Parts operations. This role helps customers with service requests, repair updates, RV parts, accessories, product questions, and service coordination.

You’ll work with customers, technicians, vendors, and managers to make sure the right parts are sourced, service work is organized, and customers receive clear communication from start to finish.

Compensation

This position offers base compensation starting at $20.00 per hour, plus variable compensation opportunities. Final pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, location, and applicable company pay plan guidelines.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Greet and assist customers in a professional, friendly manner.
• Help customers identify service needs, parts needs, accessories, and next steps.
• Create and update repair orders, parts orders, customer records, and related documentation.
• Communicate with customers about repair status, service recommendations, parts availability, pricing, and timelines.
• Coordinate with technicians to identify needed parts and support timely completion of service work.
• Source parts correctly in accordance with PPL standard operating procedures.
• Research, order, receive, and document parts accurately.
• Assist with service scheduling and help manage the service calendar.
• Process parts orders, returns, exchanges, warranty claims, insurance documentation, and related paperwork.
• Maintain inventory records and assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing parts.
• Work with vendors to research availability, replenish inventory, and resolve parts or order issues.
• Promote appropriate maintenance, services, parts, and accessories based on customer needs and technician recommendations.
• Process customer payments and follow company cash-handling procedures when assigned.
• Help resolve customer questions or concerns, escalating issues when needed.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One to two years of experience in customer service, service advising, parts sales, inventory, automotive, RV, retail, or a related field preferred.
• RV, automotive, or technical parts knowledge helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.
• Strong customer service, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort using computers, scheduling tools, point-of-sale systems, inventory systems, email, and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the parts department, service area, and dealership.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
