We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and hands-on Resort General Manager to oversee daily operations, empower a dedicated team, and manage our expansive, full-service campground along the scenic Shenandoah River. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, you will report directly to leadership while seamlessly blending strategic business management, staff development, physical property maintenance, and member relations to deliver an exceptional experience and nurture a thriving, family-friendly culture.
Direct daily operations, manage $1.5M+ operating budgets, control expenses, submit monthly reports, and ensure all local/state certifications and safety protocols are met.
Oversee capital improvements, coordinate contractors, and ensure all grounds, infrastructure, and amenities are clean, safe, and fully operational.
Maintain a family-friendly atmosphere, resolve member issues promptly, and plan community events (including live entertainment and fireworks).
Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor a staff of 10+ employees while conducting performance evaluations and fostering a positive work environment.
Experience: Proven background in hospitality management required; RV resort/campground management experience strongly preferred.
Track Record: Demonstrated experience managing $1.5M+ budgets, leading teams of 10+, and overseeing capital/facility projects.
Skills & Competencies: Strong business acumen, excellent communication and organizational skills, high emotional intelligence, and dependability.
Other: Valid Driver’s License required. Flexibility for weekend/holiday hours during peak season (May-September). On-site residency required.
Base Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 annually (paid bi-weekly, negotiable based on experience).
Performance Bonus: Potential up to $10,000.
Housing: Free on-site living package including a full-hookup RV site with utilities (alternative living arrangements negotiable).
Allowances: Monthly stipends for personal vehicle use, cell phone, and high-speed Wi-Fi.
