Onyx Capital Group Limited is building a Sri Lanka engineering hub and seeking a Rust Software Engineer to join as an early member of the team. You will take full ownership of features from design through delivery and into production, powering live trading infrastructure used by top market participants.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years in a software engineering role delivering production-quality features
• Strong Rust proficiency with ownership model, lifetimes, and borrow checker
• Solid systems programming fundamentals: memory management, concurrency, safe and performant code
• Test-Driven Development discipline: unit, integration, and E2E tests
• Automation mindset: tooling, scripts, and pipelines to remove manual work
• REST API design, building and consuming APIs with authentication and versioning

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from design through delivery to production
• Work on live trading infrastructure powering demanding users
• Collaborate with global engineering teams across time zones
• Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate progress clearly
