Job summary

Citi in Pune, India seeks a Senior Software Engineer with deep Rust and C++ expertise to join the Equities Low-Latency Trading Technology team. You will design, develop, and optimize next-generation trading systems, migrating legacy C++ components to Rust while maintaining ultra-low-latency execution paths.

Collaborate with quantitative researchers, traders, and product managers to translate strategies into production-ready software, and build real-time telemetry, monitoring, and robust failover

Qualifications

• Proficient in C++ (C++11/14/17/20) with modern best practices.
• Strong Rust proficiency including ownership, lifetimes, and macros.
• Deep knowledge of Linux internals and low-latency networking.
• Experience with multi-threaded programming and lock-free data structures.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain ultra-low-latency trading systems.
• Migrate critical trading components from C++ to Rust while preserving performance.
• Design robust APIs and libraries for cross-desk reuse.
• Build telemetry, monitoring, and alerting for production systems.
