Job summary

fab2 is building Studio, a fast, browser-based, multiplayer platform for designing and assembling whole chips. The role is full-stack, Rust end-to-end, owning major features from design through shipping and touching the whole stack.

You will work on deeply interactive editing tools, real-time collaboration, a GPU canvas, and a high-performance sync engine, with a focus on making complex hardware software approachable.

Qualifications

• Strong Rust, or serious C++/systems experience and the obvious curiosity to go deep in Rust.
• Solid systems fundamentals: memory, performance, concurrency. You profile before you optimize.
• A track record of non-trivial software you built from scratch and can walk us through end to end.

Responsibilities

• Own major features from design through shipping and touch the whole stack.
• Build a diffable, real-time collaborative document model as the foundation of the product.
• Develop a GPU-accelerated canvas that renders millions of polygons with smooth performance.
• Implement a sync engine that supports high-bandwidth, low-latency collaboration.
