Actalent is seeking a Rust Engineer for our Plano, TX area. This contract role focuses on designing, building, and supporting embedded Rust platforms for connected automotive products.

You will own software components end-to-end from design through deployment, with a fast-paced, agile team in a hybrid on-site environment. You will write high-quality Rust code, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with product owners to deliver features that meet customer needs while ensuring

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Rust, writing clean, tested code for embedded/connected systems.
• Experience deploying Rust applications to production or supporting them in production.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in embedded environments.
• Hands-on with embedded platforms and in-vehicle multimedia or similar domains.
• Familiar with CI/CD and modern software architectures.
• Able to work in agile, team-based environments and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support embedded Rust software for automotive products.
• Write clean, maintainable Rust code and comprehensive tests.
