InfluxData, a remote-first company, seeks a skilled IC with database QA expertise to join the Database Performance and Reliability Team. You will help ensure reliability, correctness, and high performance of InfluxDB Enterprise 3 across complex workloads, leveraging AI-driven tooling as part of daily workflows.

In this role you will own automated test pipelines, collaborate with core developers, and drive proactive performance analysis while contributing to on-call rotations and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in software quality, reliability, or similar.
• Strong QA and testing experience for distributed data systems and performance.
• Willingness to work with AI-assisted tooling for debugging and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute automated reliability, regression, and correctness test workflows in CI/CD.
• Implement and maintain repeatable test contracts for query accuracy and data lifecycle.
• Differentiate functional validation from exhaustive reliability testing under real workloads.
• Collaborate with core developers to translate specs into formal test constraints.
• Investigate performance data variations and identify bottlenecks pre-production.
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
• Develop and review automated reports to flag latency regressions and data issues.
