Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking reliable In-Person Educational Interpreters fluent in English and Russian for part-time, as-needed assignments in Eastern Suffolk County, NY. Interpreters will work on-site, supporting students, families, and school staff through accurate bilingual communication.

Responsibilities include interpreting at parent-teacher conferences, CSE/CPSE meetings, student registrations, and classroom events. Travel to assignments is required; remote work is not offered.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and Russian.
• Ability to interpret accurately and completely between English and Russian while preserving tone and meaning.
• Maintain neutrality, confidentiality, and professional conduct in school settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for parent-teacher conferences and school meetings.
• Interpret for CSE/CPSE and student evaluations or enrollment appointments.
• Assist with school activities and events requiring bilingual communication.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and communicate professionally with staff and families.
