Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking reliable and professional English/Ukrainian Educational Interpreters for part-time, as-needed employment in Suffolk County, New York. Interpreters will provide in-person interpretation services and support communication among students, families, educators, and school staff.

Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and Ukrainian, and be willing to travel to in-person assignments.

Qualifications

• Be able to read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and Ukrainian.
• Interpret spoken communication accurately and completely between both languages.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters.

Responsibilities

• As an In-Person Educational Interpreter, provide interpretation during parent-teacher conferences, CSE/CPSE meetings, and student evaluations.
• Assist with student registration, enrollment, orientations, and family engagement events.
• Support school personnel with interpretation during disciplinary and administrative meetings and tests.
