Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Travel Nurse to provide direct patient care in rural Critical Access Hospitals, following established protocols and delivering high-quality nursing services across remote communities.

You will assess conditions, implement interventions, educate patients and families, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and travel to new destinations on a contract basis, embracing the adventure of rural healthcare.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the applicable state.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in acute care.
• Willingness to travel and work on a contract basis.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established clinical protocols and standards of practice.
• Assess patients' conditions and implement evidence-based nursing interventions tailored to rural settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans and coordinate patient care activities.
• Administer medications and treatments with precision and safety.
• Monitor vital signs and adapt care plans to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and preventive care.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers ensuring continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Embrace rural healthcare realities and adapt to evolving environments.
