Job summary

Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique, MI is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our rural health clinic team on a day shift.

The role focuses on detailed history taking, physical exams, patient care, referrals, and collaboration with physicians to deliver comprehensive non-emergency care, with emphasis on documentation, confidentiality, and adherence to RHC standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited advanced practice practitioner program.
• Board certified as PA or NP and licensed to practice in Michigan.
• Current DEA license.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 3 years Rural Health Clinic or similar clinic experience.
• Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development and periodic review of clinic policies.
• Provides services in accordance with policies.
• Arranges for or refers patients to needed services not available at the clinic.
• Maintains patient health records and transfers them as required when referred.
• Collaborates with a physician for patient care and follow-up.
• Provides acute non-emergency care to walk-in patients.
• Dictates or provides progress notes for visits and calls promptly.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with RHC standards.
