Job summary

Pharmacy First Health in Delphos, OH is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing medications, processing prescriptions, and maintaining inventory. You will interact with patients, help with billing questions, and ensure HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced rural clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• State pharmacy technician registration or licensure as required by state law.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a busy, patient-facing setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working directly with patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in accurately filling and dispensing prescription medications.
• Receive and process prescription orders from patients, physicians, and healthcare providers.
• Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and flagging low-supply items.
• Handle point-of-sale transactions, process insurance claims, and assist patients with billing questions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to answer general inquiries and direct complex questions to the pharmacist.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements at all times.
