Job summary

Minnesota Oncology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive oncology care at our Chaska clinic, with regular travel to Waconia and Ridgeview Medical Center in Arlington, MN. The incumbent will assess, plan, and implement patient care, deliver education, and support families through cancer treatment in a rural healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate has an MSN or PA training with MN licensure and NP/PA certification, plus at least three years of practice,

Qualifications

MSN from an accredited program for nursing education.
Current Minnesota RN license and current certification as Nurse Practitioner.
Minimum of three years of experience as a practicing NP.
Experience and knowledge in managing cancer-related physiologic and psychological effects preferred.
Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
Initiates and documents interventions; evaluates responses and prescribes therapies as indicated.
Performs procedures with minimal supervision.
Provides education to patients and families.
Promotes wellness and community resources; incorporates evidence-based practice.
May provide case management and participate in clinical trials materials.
