Job summary

CVHS HEALTH SERVICES in Bowling Green, VA is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive nursing and medical care in a high-volume, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities include patient assessments, planning care delivery, performing examinations, ordering tests, diagnosing, and prescribing medications under state licensure.

The role requires RN licensure in Virginia, graduate NP training (adult/family/pediatric), and NP certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Virginia.
• Graduate of an approved program for Adult, Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioners.
• Certification as an Adult, Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner as required by Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing and medical care; assess patient needs and plan delivery of health care services.
• Perform examinations, interpret laboratory and x-ray results, and provide diagnoses and treatments.
• Prescribe and dispense medications per protocol and licensure.
• Direct and participate in preventive health programs and immunizations.
• Maintain complete medical records in a problem-oriented format.
• Collaborate with physicians and CVHS staff; refer complex cases.
• Attend work as scheduled; participate in on-call rotation.
• Support team-based patient-centered care and continuous professional education.
