Job summary
CVHS Health Services in Prince George, Virginia is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive nursing and medical care. You will assess patients, plan delivery of services, and ensure required care is provided.
The role requires RN licensure in Virginia and NP certification; experience in public health or community health nursing is preferred. You will collaborate with physicians and other health professionals, and participate in preventive programs and continuing education.
Qualifications
- RN license in Virginia is required.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- NP certification in Adult/Family/Pediatric as required by state.
- Experience in public health or home/community nursing preferred.
- Two years as Nurse Practitioner preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with physicians and other staff.
- Strong verbal and written communication; commitment to development.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing and medical care; assess patients and families.
- Perform examinations, use labs and x-ray tests, and interpret findings.
- Prescribe and dispense medications per protocol and licensure.
- Lead preventive health programs, immunizations and disease prevention.
- Maintain complete, orderly medical records in a problem-oriented format.
- Participate in quality assurance and health program planning.
