Job summary

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Rural Health Workforce Coordinator to provide educational support for grant programs and coordinate J1 Conrad 30 activities. The role involves outreach to rural facilities and collaboration with partners statewide to reduce health inequities.

The position emphasizes data collection, reporting, and program management, with partial telework approval.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Community Health Education, Health Education, or related field or equivalent four-year combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Strong writing skills and ability to assist RHPCP in preparing documents.
Ability to work with multiple partners both federally and within the State of Maine.
Knowledge of data platforms and ability to present data when requested.

Responsibilities

Support rural health workforce development activities.
Ensure grants and workplan activities are implemented and tracked to meet state and federal requirements.
Collaborate with partners on workforce initiatives and activities.
Provide technical assistance and outreach as requested.
Prepare reports for the Rural Health Program on workforce-related projects.
Organize data in numbers and narratives to share successes and challenges.
Track state and federal annual reports such as 3RNET and J1 reports.
Assist with legislative tracking and reporting as required.
