Job summary

The University of New England is seeking a Program Manager for the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) to lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of RHTP/EBI activities from its Portland, ME campus.

The role will coordinate with partners and contractors, manage budgets, and advance sustainability through potential future funding, while maintaining strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field, plus three years of health program planning and evaluation experience.
• Experience in program management and staff supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for reports and presentations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead program management for RHTP/EBI activities, including implementation, evaluation, and budget oversight.
• Coordinate development of RHTP-funded projects with partners and contractors.
• Collaborate with program leads to support initiatives funded by RHTP/EBI.
• Coordinate activities with public health programs, partners, and stakeholders.
• Represent UNE and the RHTP/EBI initiative at local, state, and federal venues.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Oversee evaluation activities with an evaluation contractor.
• Ensure sustainability planning and potential funding opportunities.
