Job summary

University of New England in Portland, ME is seeking a Program Manager for the Rural Health Transformation Program. The role leads RHTP/EBI activities, overseeing planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of funded projects across partners and contractors.

You will liaise with public and private systems to strengthen service delivery, drive sustainability, and provide subject-matter expertise to UNE leadership and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Public Administration, or related field with 3 years of health program experience, or 7-year combined education/experience.
• Experience in program management and staff supervision.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access).

Responsibilities

• Lead program management for RHTP/EBI activities including implementation, evaluation, and budget.
• Coordinate development of RHTP-funded projects with partners and contractors.
• Collaborate with existing program leads to support initiatives under RHTP/EBI.
• Coordinate activities with public health programs and external stakeholders.
• Develop strategies for sustainability and potential future funding.
• Represent UNE and the RHTP/EBI initiative at local, state, and federal venues.
