Job summary

The Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education seeks a thoughtful, mission-driven Senior Project Manager in Boulder, CO to strengthen rural healthcare workforce development across the West.

You will lead Wyoming's Rural Health Transformation Grant and help build a multi-state network of partners, translating ideas into action through grant management, stakeholder engagement, and data-informed decision making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and seven years of relevant professional work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Significant experience in grants management, including federal grants and federal grant reporting.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative, and cordial working relationships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to speak to and write clearly for policy audiences such as legislators and state agency officials.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision within a team.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate administration of Wyoming's Rural Health Transformation Grant, including project planning, implementation, reporting, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, grant conditions, and agency-specific guidelines.
  • Develop a competitive application process for grant subawardees that aligns with the Rural Health Transformation Grant requirements.
  • Maintain a reporting calendar and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
  • Monitor changes in federal reporting requirements and update processes as needed.
  • Develop and maintain systems, processes, and documentation to support effective grant administration and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables for grant reporting and program performance.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and prepare status updates for leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.
