Job summary

Florida State University’s College of Medicine is seeking a Rural Health Data & Analytics specialist for the Northwest Region to advance the Rural Health Transformation Program. The role focuses on data systems, quality assurance, and reporting to support rural health initiatives.

You will collaborate with healthcare partners, state agencies, and vendors to deliver dashboards, insights, and data-driven recommendations that inform program leadership and funding decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with six years of experience (education substitution rate applies).
• Reliable transportation and a valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain multiple data systems supporting Northwest activities.
• Develop and oversee data collection, validation, cleaning, and QA across participating organizations.
• Coordinate data from healthcare systems, community organizations, public health agencies, state partners, and vendors.
• Establish and maintain data dictionaries, metadata standards, data governance procedures, and documentation.
• Ensure HIPAA, data use agreements, IRB requirements (when applicable), and state/federal reporting compliance.
• Design automated dashboards and data visualizations for leadership and funders; generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
