Job summary

Florida State University’s College of Medicine is seeking a data-focused professional to support the Rural Health Transformation Program’s Northwest initiatives. You will manage data systems, oversee collection, validation, and quality assurance, and coordinate data from healthcare partners and vendors.

The role emphasizes data governance, documentation, HIPAA compliance, and generating dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to inform leadership and funders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 2 years in related field, or 6 years with high school diploma/equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License or ability to obtain prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain data systems for Rural Health Transformation Program initiatives.
• Develop and oversee data collection, validation, cleaning, and quality assurance processes across participating organizations.
• Coordinate acquisition and integration of data from healthcare systems, community organizations, public health agencies, state partners, and vendors.
• Establish and maintain data dictionaries, metadata standards, data governance procedures, and documentation.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and state/federal reporting requirements.
• Develop procedures to ensure timely, accurate, and secure data exchange among partner organizations.
• Monitor data quality and resolve discrepancies with participating organizations.
• Create dashboards and data visualizations for leadership, partners, stakeholders, and funders.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
• Track KPIs for state funding agencies and leadership.
• Support continuous quality improvement through routine monitoring.
• Conduct analyses on implementation effectiveness, reach, utilization, outcomes, and ROI.
• Produce summary reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Provide data-informed recommendations to leadership and train staff on reporting systems.
