Job summary
Health & Human Services Comm in Austin, TX seeks a System Contracting Attorney to support the Rural Health Transformation program, with a focus on grants and contracts. You will review, draft and negotiate procurement documents and provide legal counsel to program and procurement staff.

Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited law school and license to practice law in Texas.
- Experience with contract drafting, review and negotiation preferred.
- Familiarity with IT contracting and government procurement is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and negotiate complex contracts and RFPs in compliance with laws.
- Advise staff on contract matters and conduct legal review and opinions.
- Represent HHSC in procurement matters, negotiations, and disputes.
- Support in policy development and legislative change implementations.
