Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college and a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar admission and five years of legal practice are required.
• Experience with Medicaid and procurement contracting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate complex contracts, solicitations, and related documents.
• Provide legal advice on federal and state contracting laws and procurement matters.
• Represent HHSC in procurement negotiations, protests and contract-related disputes.
• Collaborate with program managers and procurement professionals on healthcare contracts.
