The Team

At Living Room, the Busser is responsible for creating a well-organized, clean, and welcoming environment for members and guests. The Busser supports the team by cleaning and resetting tables, ensuring the availability of flatware and plates, and communicating guest needs to the waitstaff. They also restock necessary items like napkins and straws and may assist with dishwashing.

A successful Busser will be efficient, attentive, and possess strong customer service skills.

The Role

• Complete Service Standards training to learn about our products, service steps, and property standards
• Set up all tables before service, ensuring neat and organized place settings and proper lighting
• Ensure appropriate table settings and china are used for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or feast service; include items like ketchup, salt & pepper, HP, and sugar bowls
• Stock all stations upon arrival (small plates, sharing plates, water and wine glasses, silverware) and maintain throughout service, working with your team to keep everything neat
• Maintain your section and ensure water is delivered upon guest arrival; assist other sections when needed
• Clear tables between courses, wipe down, and reset for new guests
• Polish silverware and store pot wash items according to standards
• Complete side work before and after service
• Ensure the bar area cabinet and shelves are stocked with glassware, silverware, and plateware before service
• Remove all dirty linen from the station and ensure trash is emptied and area is clean

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in a similar role
• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays when needed
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and deliver results in demanding, fast-paced environments
• Basic verbal communication skills
