Job summary

Brooks Run Research Lab in Seattle seeks an experienced Operations Associate Manager to oversee the lab's physical infrastructure, equipment and testing environments, ensuring researchers have reliable tools for world-class biomechanics and physiology studies.

This role drives calibration, vendor management, and SOP adherence, while coordinating study readiness and participant logistics with the science teams. A strong operations background in biomechanics is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biomechanics, kinesiology, exercise science, physiology, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in lab operations or research support with biomechanics/physiology exposure.
• Experience with complex scientific instrumentation and data collection systems.
• Experience with motion capture, force plates, metabolic carts, wearables.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Brooks Run Research Lab facilities and testing spaces.
• Oversee lab systems lifecycle, calibration, maintenance and service programs.
• Manage vendor relationships, service contracts and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain safety procedures, SOPs and lab organization for efficient research.
• Support researchers with study setup and participant testing logistics.
