Job summary

Brooks Run Research Lab at Brooks is seeking a capable Operations Associate Manager to oversee the lab's equipment, testing environments, and vendor relationships in Seattle. You will ensure reliable, accurate biomechanics and physiology data through calibration, SOPs, and proactive maintenance.

The role combines technical expertise with strong organization to support researchers, manage safety, and drive continuous improvements in lab infrastructure and study readiness, with four days onsite in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biomechanics, kinesiology, exercise science, physiology, engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in lab operations, facilities management or sport science/research support with biomechanics/physiology exposure.
• Experience with complex instrumentation and data collection systems to ensure accurate biomechanics/physiology data.
• Experience with motion capture, force plates, metabolic carts, wearables and related lab tech.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of the Run Research Lab spaces and testing areas.
• Oversee lab systems lifecycle management and ensure readiness and performance.
• Develop and oversee calibration, maintenance and service programs for equipment.
• Manage vendor relationships, service contracts and maintenance with various lab technologies.
• Maintain SOPs and documentation for equipment setup and operation.
• Support researchers with study setup and participant testing logistics.
