Job summary

Brooks Run Research Lab in Seattle is seeking a Senior Run Research Physiologist to lead exercise physiology projects that improve runner performance and reduce injury risk. You will apply rigorous methods across physiology, biomechanics, and data science while collaborating with product teams.

You will manage research programs, mentor staff, present findings to executives, and translate insights into actionable product concepts for future footwear development.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. with a background in Exercise Physiology and 3+ years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • 3+ years of applied laboratory-based research experience working with physiology in endurance sports, preferably running.
  • Active Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage exercise physiology research programs that lead to new insights and technologies to improve runner performance and reduce injury incidence.
  • Independently lead research projects including collecting, recording, and analyzing exercise physiology data.
  • Translate research findings into actionable product recommendations for cross-functional teams.
  • Lead meetings with product creation teams to align research with development timelines and product iterations.
  • Present research findings to Senior Level Executives with clear data storytelling.
