Job summary

Novonesis is seeking a strategic Leader to head the North American Ruminant Technical Service team. You will translate science into measurable value for dairy, beef, and forage customers while partnering across Commercial, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, and Innovation.

This high-impact role combines people leadership, customer engagement, and scientific rigor to grow business and strengthen relationships. Remote work with travel and a strong emphasis on talent development and industry collaboration.

Qualifications

• PhD, DVM, or equivalent advanced degree in Animal Science, Dairy Science, Ruminant Nutrition, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in animal nutrition, animal health, technical services, research, consulting, or related industries.
• Minimum 5 years of direct leadership experience, including coaching and developing technical professionals.
• Strong understanding of dairy and/or beef production systems.
• Demonstrated success partnering with commercial organizations to deliver customer value.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to lead through influence in a collaborative, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Technical Service Specialists and subject matter experts.
• Establish clear priorities, objectives, and development plans aligned with business goals.
• Develop and execute the North American technical service strategy for ruminant solutions.
• Partner with Sales, Key Account Managers, Marketing, Regulatory, Product Management, and Innovation teams to accelerate growth and customer success.
• Provide executive-level technical support for strategic customer opportunities and complex technical challenges.
• Engage directly with producers, nutritionists, veterinarians, consultants, and industry influencers across North America.
• Support product launches, technical positioning, customer education, and scientific communications.
• Oversee technical trials, field validation programs, and research collaborations.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving customer needs.
• Represent Novonesis at industry conferences, customer events, and professional associations.
