Reliable Equipment & Service Co. seeks a Rubber Testing Lab Manager to oversee daily lab operations, ensure inventory accuracy, and lead technicians to meet rigorous quality standards. You will ensure projects are completed correctly and delivered on time, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires coordinating equipment maintenance, validating reports, and driving process improvements while maintaining strict inventory controls and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma (Associates or Bachelors preferred).
• 3-5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, procurement or a laboratory setting, preferably rubber, polymers, or materials testing.
• Proven track record of managing employees, scheduling and developing a team.
• Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and excellent time-management abilities under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Optimize daily laboratory workflows to maximize efficiency, throughput, and accuracy.
• Ensure testing procedures adhere to industry standards (ASTM, ISO) and quality protocols.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance/calibration schedules.
• Review and approve final laboratory reports before release to clients.
• Maintain 100% accurate inventory records for lab supplies and materials.
• Manage procurement of consumables and equipment parts within budget.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate lab technicians and support staff.
• Coordinate staff schedules and workload distribution.
• Oversee training and onboarding for new employees on rubber testing equipment and safety protocols.
• Foster a collaborative, safety-focused culture and continuous improvement.
• Ensure data logging, sample tracking and final results are accurate and timely.
