Job summary

UTEX Industries in Texas is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our quality-focused team. You will operate lab and rubber-processing equipment, prepare test samples, perform QC testing, and document results to support ISO/AS9100 compliance.

You will collaborate with engineering and production, verify materials meet specifications, and generate COAs and reports. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in testing.
• Basic Excel and data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Stand, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with lab chemicals and machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate lab and rubber processing equipment (mills, presses, tensometer, rheometer, etc.).
• Prepare test samples for evaluation and approval processes.
• Perform daily quality control testing and inspections.
• Verify materials meet required specifications.
• Record accurate test results in quality databases and logs.
• Generate certificates of analysis (COAs) and test reports.
• Support ISO/AS9100 audit documentation.
• Assist with first-article inspections (FAIs).
• Participate in root cause investigations and process improvements.
• Communicate results to engineering and production teams.
• Follow all safety, PPE, and lab handling procedures.
